Tested at the Danish Institute of Agricultural Sciences
The Department of Integrated Pest Management at the Danish Institute of Agricultural Sciences has tested Dansand® Joint Filling Sand to see how well it combats weed germination and growth. The results demonstrated that the weed-inhibiting additives kill the roots and inhibit seed germination.
The reason why some weed seed pods still germinate during the first couple of weeks is that they can have enough energy and nutrients to germinate and grow for a period of time.
Joints as barren as a desert
